Director, Manager

I have lived in Fetcham for 19 years with my husband and my two children now aged 23 and 17, when my second child was born I decided to change my career and trained to become a childminder which I have done for the past 17 years and only recently scaled down my childminding business with the opening of the Fetcham Kids Club after school and Holiday Club which I will continue to manage alongside the Pre School.

During my time as a childminder I sat on many committees and jointly set up and ran a local toddler group with Alison Herrod, I have completed the Surrey Early Years Quality Assurance Scheme and was the first childminder in surrey to achieve this, Additionally I have an NVQ level 3 Introduction, Development and Extended childminding practice, I hold a DCPO in safeguarding children, First Aid, Equal opportunities, SENCO- code of practice and inclusion for SEND (three day course) and food Hygiene qualifications to name but a few and am committed to ensuring that my training is up to date and relevant.

My aim it to provide a happy and stimulating environment for the children in our preschool and am excited to take on this new venture.

Alison Hunt

Manager of Fetcham Kids Club

Hi, I’m Alison, I’ve lived in Fetcham for 30 years. I have three grown up children. I have worked in child care for the last 15 years, 13 of those child minding, where I completed my NVQ level 3 plus other training  which included Safeguarding, first aid and Senco to name a few. During my childminding years I was on the committee of a toddler group and also help set up a local childminding group. After childminding I was a nanny to a family for 2 years, this was until the families work took them abroad.  I have now continually worked for Fetcham Kids Club since it launch in September 2015.

Hello, I’m Katie.
I have grown up in the area and now live in Ashtead with my partner and three boys.
I have always worked in the early years field, since gaining my cache level 3 diploma in early years and education, 14 years ago.
From this point I did a variety of nannying, working at a special educational needs school as a classroom assistant, before moving back to nurseries where I quickly became promoted as room manager.
In this time I gained my level 4 in early years. I have done various courses over the years, including safe guarding, first aid and many more.
In 2011, when I had my first child, I changed from nursery work to manage a crèche, working there for almost three years, until I had my second son and then made the choice to become a stay at home mum, then becoming a mum of three busy boys, waiting for the right opportunity to return to work.
In my break from work, I was part of the parents committee at my sons preschool, have been part of my sons school pta and a class rep.

The opportunity to join Daisychain’s made it an easy transition back into working life, finding the ethic and passion put into the children’s care and learning an inspiration and a team I wanted to be part of. wanted to be part of.
